Actress at: Mihailovgrad Dramatic Theatre 1980-1983. National Puppet Theatre, Vratza 1989-1990. Theatre company ‘Sirius’ founded by Yuliya Ognyanova, Sofia 1990-1992.
In 1992 she established Credo Theatre with its first show ‘The Overcoat’ by N. Gogol, which is nationally and internationally acclaimed. With this production Nina is selected by over 200 international festivals, one of which Edinburgh Fringe, Scotland, UK (1996 and 1997), where her Overcoat is rated ‘Top 20’ two years in a row. She performs at the Barbican, London in 2000, when she is reviewed as ‘Top 5’ best shows in London by the Guardian. With ‘the Overcoat’ she was the first international guest at the Russian Theatre Festival ‘Golden Mask’ in Moscow (1997) and hundreds of other esteemed international festivals, of which ‘NET’, Moscow (2012), ‘Academy’, Omsk (2010), ‘Big School-Break’ (‘Большая перемена’), Moscow (2008), ‘Seoul Performing Arts Festival’, Korea (2000), ‘Tampere Festival’, Finland (2001), ‘Contact’ festival, Torun, Poland (1998), ‘Santiago a Mil’ Festival, Chile (2011), ‘MESS’ fest, Sarajevo, Bosnia (1997), ‘Kijimuna Festa’, Island Okinawa, Japan (2006-2007), ‘Charleville festival’, France (1994), Slavia festival, Belgrade (2004), International theatre festival in Shanghai, China (2015), International Festival in Sibiu, Romania (1996) and many others.
With her production ‘Daddy’s Always Right’ Nina Dimitrova has been invited to over 50 international festivals in Europe, Asia and North Amerika.
Nina Dimitrova’s performances have received dozens of national and international awards and are two of the longest played and most applauded in world Bulgarian shows.
